This move follows last week's corporate registration of the name Ishares Ethereum Trust and Nasdaq's filing with the SEC seeking approval for the spot ETF presidential hopeful, Vivek Ramaswamy has revealed his plan for crypto. It aims to protect core aspects of the industry including software developers and unted digital wallets. He joined Coindesk TV to discuss his plans to shrink the federal government dramatically and steer crypto into a clear regulatory structure that generally considers tokens to be commodities. Let's take a listen. My view is that most forms of cryptocurrencies should be in the category of commodities, not securities. They fail the test of what securities were all about in the first place, but whatever the rules of the road are, they deserve to be clear. And my litmus test of whether or not they're clear is if the head of the SEC or the commissioners of the SEC cannot instantly answer whether or not some widely used Cryptocurrency or Coin Co Council Security or a commodity. That means the rules that we have right now are a failure. South Korea's National Pension Service purchased Coinbase shares worth nearly $20 million. The shares were purchased in the third quarter. According to a holdings report submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, it is the world's third largest pension fund by assets. This is reportedly the first time the NPS has made any crypto related security part of its investment portfolio. A physical Doge coin token could reach the moon next month. It's part of a space payload mission planned by Pittsburgh based firm Astro Botic. The same mission is also scheduled to carry a physical Bitcoin token and a copy of the Genesis block.
