Nick Baker is CoinDesk’s deputy editor-in-chief, helping oversee the best crypto newsroom in the world and editing some of its highest-profile stories (including three Polk Award–winning scoops on FTX's Sam Bankman-Fried). Before joining in 2022 he worked at Bloomberg News for 16 years as a reporter, editor and manager. Previously, he worked for Dow Jones Newswires and wrote for The Wall Street Journal. He has a journalism degree from Ohio University. He owns small amounts of BTC and ETH.
